Top 10 Chinese Brands
Ningbo Tuopu, Changzhou Xingyu, Huguang Co., Ltd, Zhejiang Wanchao, Fuliwang, Ruuhu Mould, Jiangsu Sensata, Hefei Bangli, Wenzhou Jinjia, Dongguan Aoke. Domestic manufacturers have realized independent supporting of steering column combination switches for domestic passenger cars, with stable batch quality and excellent cost performance.
Structural Composition
The combination switch adopts integrated modular structure, including mechanical lever shifting mechanism, precision gear transmission assembly, conductive contact group, PCB signal processing board, waterproof and dustproof engineering plastic shell, fixed buckle structure and vehicle wiring harness connector. Multiple independent control circuits are integrated inside the limited space. The driver triggers the on-off state of different conductive contacts through lever toggle and knob rotation, and the PCB converts mechanical actions into standard electrical signals and transmits them to the vehicle body control module.
Application
The switch integrates controls for high and low beam lights, marker lights, turn signals, front and rear wipers and water spray functions. Mounted on the steering column for convenient driver operation, it realizes one-hand rapid switching of vehicle lighting and wiper functions during driving, meeting the operating requirements of night driving, rainy day driving and overtaking auxiliary lighting, and supporting daily safe driving of vehicles.
Manufacturing Challenges
The first difficulty is the consistency of multi-gear damping hand feel. Batch products need to maintain uniform operating resistance and rebound hand feel without obvious difference. The conductive contacts require excellent wear resistance and oxidation resistance to ensure stable conduction after tens of millions of operations. The internal precision mechanical structure integrates multiple groups of independent shifting units in a narrow space, which requires high assembly precision to avoid jamming and poor rebound. The shell needs reliable waterproof and dustproof sealing performance to adapt to complex interior environment. In addition, the signal output must be accurate and stable without false triggering and signal delay.
Required Quality Documents
IATF16949 quality system certification, APQP development documents, DFMEA and PFMEA risk analysis reports, production control plan, full set of PPAP certification files, operating hand feel durability test report, contact conduction reliability verification report, IP waterproof and dustproof grade test report, high and low temperature environmental durability report, vehicle vibration test report and EMC anti-interference test report.
Impact on Vehicle Performance
As a core driving safety component, the working state of the combination switch directly affects vehicle driving safety. Switch jamming and functional failure will lead to invalid lighting and wiper functions, bringing major safety hazards for night and rainy day driving. Poor contact of conductive contacts will cause light flashing and function false triggering, affecting driving standardization and safety. Stable and accurate switch response ensures the normal operation of vehicle lighting and wiper systems, optimizes driving operation experience, and provides reliable guarantee for whole-vehicle driving safety.
